24 Metasequoia glyptostroboides   This deciduous conifer could be described as a living fossil. THought to be extinct but discuvered in Central China in 1941 and introduced to the west in 1946, it has been commonly planted in parks and gardens. Strong-growing with feathery leaves with attractive autumn colour. Easily propagated.
